This event is a multi-layered, multi-dimensional TWO PART-er. We have the meeting *and* the show.
THE MEETING is Wednesday, July 19th -- virtual (zoom link) and in person (138 2nd Ave. NYC)
THE SHOW is Tuesday, July 25th, 7pm at Sid Gold's Request Room (165 W. 26th St. btwn. 6th and 7th Ave. in Manhattan).
This is also our first collaboration with The Acoustic Guitar Project - a long-running series that invites five songwriters each year to spend a week with an acoustic guitar and write and record a new song. This year, we're working together so that the songwriters are ones curated by Bushwick Book Club with new songs in response to the chosen book -- YEAR OF THE MONKEY by Patti Smith.
The featured SONGWRITERS for the July 25th show at Sid Gold's are:
July 25th, 7pm at Sid Gold's, you'll hear their songs in response to YEAR OF THE MONKEY by Patti Smith followed by a Q&A regarding their experience and writing process lead by writer and musician Noah Evan Wilson of The Acoustic Guitar Project.
There's still time to read (or listen) to the book and get in on the meeting AND the show, but even if you've only been able to glance at the crib notes, feel free to come to both! BBC Book Club members receive a 15% discount code for the show tickets.
