Singer/songwriter Ellia Bisker is half of the internationally touring goth-folk cabaret duo Charming Disaster and is the lyricist and lead vocalist for NYC brass-punk ensemble Funkrust Brass Band. She began her musical career in 2006 performing original songs about doomed love, books, and existential mysteries as Sweet Soubrette, armed with a ukulele. She has been writing songs for the Bushwick Book Club since 2010. Violinist Heather Cole is a founding member of Sweet Soubrette's band. Together they have created many musical performance pieces for series including Necromancers of the Public Domain, Puppet Playlist, and beyond.
